Cooking course

La Lingua La Vita hosts cooking and pastry courses with expert chefs, and also a pizza making course in a local pizzeria, but the most appetizing of all are courses held in the homes of local families where students not only feel at home but learn how to cook (and to eat!) delicious dishes that only ‘mamma knows how to make’!

Cooking classes last for three hours and, depending on the time of year, are held in a local restaurant situated in Todi’s historic center or in private kitchens. Students have the chance to learn how to prepare such local delicacies as homemade egg pasta with various sauces from red (fresh tomatoes and basil) to those prepared with Umbria’s famed black truffles.

Other local favorites include wild boar, pigeon and the ubiquitous bruschette - toasted, unsalted Umbrian bread garnished with such things as fresh tomatoes, chicken liver pate, truffles or mushroom paste.
